About Media Enigma
The Media Enigma (ME) Company includes Roti Parcel Entertainment - an independent film, television and documentary production house. The use of the term "Roti" is a homage to the unique role of the humble Indian flatbread that is popularized in Fiji, as a lunch parcel, that cuts across cultures and is now found in most of the Pacific Islands.
Based in the Fiji Islands, Media Enigma promotes live entertainment, event management and film and television production. Live entertainment includes music, dance and performing arts. In 2014, ME organized a tour of Canada for Fijian music legends Jimmy Subhaydas and Eddie Wilson.
Beginning as a news and book publishing house in 1994 and has evolved into its present multi media form. Media Enigma published school text books, a news magazine and dabbled in academic publishing. ME continues to publish a range of books, notably in popular history.
Media Enigma has diversified into community theater with its Principal the playwright and director for a International Diabetes Foundation project on using plays to spread awareness about the disease in Fiji.
As part of its multi-faceted operations under ME, a range of archival and open research is undertaken to curate local history and museum projects. Between 2012 and 2014 ME curated the Ba Civic Museum, in the small town of Ba, in Fiji, the first ever local museum in the region.
Media Enigma is embarking on an ambitious range of projects for the next five years (2015-2020) and we hope we can take some of you on that journey.
At Media Enigma we are as passionate about art and entertainment as we are about people and our community.
Our projects are people focused and local community centered. We are inclusive of our people and our community in all our projects.
As independent event managers, publishers, promoters, and film makers we have the time and inclination to be inclusive of people and communities that we work within.
Our films produced under the Roti Parcel Entertainment Banner feature local actors and crew drawn from the local community to introduce them to art and craft of films.
We leave behind a footprint that is sustainable and promote their talents to other film makers.
Our acronym is ME but the company ethos is all about YOU.
